Muestra de Arte y Juguetes Retro y Clásicos Argentinos en Buenos Aires
Topic: Toy Museum, News
The Buenos Aires Toy Museum show on Retro and Classic toys + Art opened this Wednesday at the British Arts Center. Down town BA …….
After a long and hard pre-production period, the D-day finally came. Filled with emotion and excitement, we welcomed the numerous visitors to enjoy our show. Each and every single toy was carefully selected and organized in the display furniture we specially designed for the exhibit.
Each and every single work of art we set on display was carefully sought after and chosen. Together with each exhibition unit we offer the visitor who wants more a detailed information sheet providing an insightful perspective of the items in display, this being part of our research project that's been taking place since we began to conceive the museum. The outcome was truly satisfactory. Grown ups and children, each from their perspective and their interests showed emotion as well as excitement as they admired the toys and stories behind them.
All along our goal has been to recover toys of yore from the pass of time and oblivion, together with this we have chosen to present and show these cultural items as art objects, enhancing their aesthetic features and stylish design in a historical perspective. We are proud to see our concept take body and shape in an exhibit-like environment.
Following these artistic aristae is that we invited a young and powerful growing new artist, Francisco Adaro to create a painting collection following our toy theme. His works are brilliant both in conceptual and aesthetic terms, powerful as he is; he managed to shape our concept in his art.
The show began with its right foot and we're proud, happy and enthusiastic about it.
Our retro and classic toy + art show will be at the British Arts Center from this July 5th all the way throughout the winter school break until August 6th. On the 28th of July we'll be taking part in one of Buenos Aires finest art events: Gallery nights, where we'll be showing our concept to art experts and art lovers from Argentina and from around the globe.
The show is open Tuesday thru Friday from 3PM to 9PM, Saturdays from 4PM; and during the winter break the opening hours broaden from 2PM to 9PM.
